Regular Season Round 15: Aishin AW - Toyota BSR 53-60

Very expected game when 9th ranked Aishin AW (6-9) lost to fourth ranked Toyota BSR (11-4) in Anjo 53-60 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Toyota BSR made 9 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Asami Saito (174-1996) who led the winners and scored 5 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Saki Iijima (173-1992) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Point guard CaiDeng Sakai (164-1995) came up with 9 points and 8 rebounds and forward Yonetani Kaime (179-1997) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Aishin AW in the defeat. Aishin AW's coach Hideki Umezaki tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Toyota BSR. They maintain fourth place with 11-4 record. Loser Aishin AW keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Toyota BSR will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aishin AW will play again against Toyota BSR (#4) and hope to secure a win.
