Regular Season Round 30: Toyama G. - Yokohama BC 71-104

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Yokohama BC (17-12) outleveled on the road 7th ranked Toyama G. (6-23) 104-71 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Toyama G. 50-25 including a 19-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Yokohama BC looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. American Devin Oliver (204-1992, college: Dayton) scored 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Czech Patrik Auda (204-1989, college: Seton Hall) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Yokohama BC's coach Taketo Aoki felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international Ryumo Ono (197-1988) with 15 points and 5 rebounds and guard Shunsuke Ueda (188-1999) scored 14 points and 6 assists. Five Yokohama BC and four Toyama G. players scored in double figures. Yokohama BC keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Kawasaki BT. Toyama G. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 23 games lost. Yokohama BC will meet Niigata A. (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Toyama G. will play against San-en NP in Hamamatsu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
