Important game to mention about took place in Urumqi. Eleventh ranked Flying Tigers (14-11) saved a 1-point victory at home edging higher ranked Aviators (14-10) 92-91 on Wednesday evening. They outrebounded Aviators 53-33 including a 40-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Flying Tigers players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese center Tacko Fall (231-1995, college: UCF) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 19 rebounds and the former international Abudurexiti Abudushalamu (203-1996) who added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Jared Sullinger (206-1992, college: Ohio St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and the former international Peng Zhou (206-1989) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Flying Tigers moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Shandong H. and Nanjing TX MK. Aviators at the other side keep the sixth position with ten games lost. Flying Tigers will play against Jiangsu Dragons (#11) in Nanjing in the next round. Aviators will play on the road against Sharks (#5) in Shanghai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
