No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked FE Nagoya (18-11) defeated at home 7th ranked Kyoto H. (12-17) 94-87 on Wednesday. Strangely Kyoto H. outrebounded FE Nagoya 45-30 including 17 on the offensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 68.2 percentage. FE Nagoya looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Forward Andrew Randall (198-1990, college: Temple) had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Jeremy Jones (201-1996, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Jarrod Uthoff (203-1993, college: Iowa) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and forward Novar Gadson (201-1989, college: Rider) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Four FE Nagoya and five Kyoto H. players scored in double figures. Kyoto H.'s coach Roy Rana tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. FE Nagoya have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted FE Nagoya maintains fifth position with 18-11 record which they share with defeated Kyoto H. Loser Kyoto H. dropped to the fifth place with 17 games lost. They share the position with San-en NP. FE Nagoya will meet higher ranked Ryukyu GK (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kyoto H. will play against Osaka E. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
