Not a big story in a game in Shanghai where 7th ranked Flying Tigers (13-11) were defeated by fifth ranked Sharks (15-8) 114-96. Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Flying Tigers' 38. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Eric Bledsoe (185-1989, college: Kentucky) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 8 rebounds and 14 assists. The former international center Zhelin Wang (214-1994) accounted for 24 points and 17 rebounds for the winning side. The former international Abudurexiti Abudushalamu (203-1996) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Lin Qi (200-1999) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Flying Tigers in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sharks maintains fifth place with 15-8 record. Flying Tigers at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Shandong H.. Sharks will play against Jiangsu Dragons (#9) in Nanjing in the next round. Flying Tigers will play at home against Aviators and hope to get back on the winning track.
