Regular Season Round 28: Kagawa FA - Fukuoka R. 80-71

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Takamatsu where 5th ranked Fukuoka R. (11-19) was defeated by sixth ranked Kagawa FA (9-21) 80-71 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Takayuki Kodama (166-1992) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and American Kyle Richardson (200-1991, college: Portland St.) who added 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks during the contest. Four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Marvelle Harris (196-1993, college: Fresno St., agency: Slash Sports) responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import center Drew Gordon (206-1990, college: N.Mexico) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kagawa FA maintains sixth position with 9-21 record. Loser Fukuoka R. keeps the fifth place with 19 games lost. Kagawa FA will meet league's leader Saga B. on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Fukuoka R. will play against Ehime OV (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
