Regular Season Round 25: Tachikawa - Kagoshima 69-79

Very predictable result when third ranked Kagoshima (22-4) defeated on the road 15th ranked Tachikawa (6-20) 79-69 on Sunday. Kagoshima looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American swingman Anthony Gaines Jr (195-1993, college: LCU) fired 28 points and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import forward Logan Routt (211-1997, college: WVU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Scott Blakney (203-1998, college: Montana) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Kota Akiyama (188-1996) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kagoshima moved-up to second place, which they share with Iwate. Tachikawa lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with 20 games lost. Kagoshima will meet at home Veertien Mie (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tachikawa will play against Shanan Utd (#12) in Kanagawa and hope to secure a win.
