Regular Season Round 17: Dreamers - Steelers 88-105

Bottom-ranked Steelers managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of seven consecutive losses on Sunday night. This time they won against fifth-ranked Dreamers in Changhua 105-88. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 17-point difference suggests that Steelers is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. They also forced 21 Dreamers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Jay West (184-1997) nailed 25 points and 8 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the winning side and the former international guard Lu-Hsiang Wang (185-1997) accounted for 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Steelers players scored in double figures. American swingman SirDominic Pointer (198-1992, college: St.John's) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks and the other American import center Brandon Gilbeck (213-1996, college: W.Illinois) added 9 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for Dreamers in the defeat. Dreamers' coach Kyle Julius rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Steelers maintains sixth place with 2-13 record. Dreamers lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Steelers will meet league's leader Kings in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dreamers will play against the league's second-placed Pilots (#2) and hope to secure a win.
