Regular Season Round 24: Tachikawa - Kagoshima 65-77
Date: January 7, 2023
Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Tachikawa (6-20) was defeated at home by third ranked Kagoshima (22-4) 77-65 on Saturday. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Anthony Gaines Jr (195-1993, college: LCU) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 9 rebounds and forward Logan Routt (211-1997, college: WVU) who added 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Scott Blakney (203-1998, college: Montana) with 9 points and 10 rebounds and forward Tristin Walley (201-1996, college: Arkansas St., agency: One Motive Sports) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kagoshima moved-up to second place, which they share with Iwate. Tachikawa lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with 20 games lost. Kagoshima will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tachikawa will play again against Kagoshima (#3) and hope to secure a win.
