Regular Season Round 26: Fukushima - Kagawa FA 75-68
Date: January 2, 2023
No shocking result in a game when third ranked Fukushima (15-13) beat at home 6th ranked Kagawa FA (8-20) 75-68 on Monday. Fukushima looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Josh Harrellson (208-1989, college: Kentucky) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-1990, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) supported him with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Fukushima players scored in double figures. Even 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists by British forward Myles Hesson (198-1990, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Kagawa FA. Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-1996) added 11 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fukushima have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 15-13 record having seven points less than leader Chiba. Kagawa FA lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 20 games lost. Fukushima will meet league's leader Saga B. on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kagawa FA will play against Fukuoka R. (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
