Regular Season Round 11: Mitsubishi K. - Aranmare A. 57-61

Leading Mitsubishi K. (9-2) recorded its second loss in Nagoya. Hosts were defeated by tenth ranked Aranmare A. (4-7) 61-57. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Mitsubishi K.. It was a great evening for Airi Kitagawa (172-1998) who led her team to a victory scoring 13 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Asuka Hiramatsu (162-1994) helped adding 7 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international center Risa Nishioka (186-1997) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks and the former international Aya Watanabe (168-1992) scored 16 points and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Aranmare A. maintains tenth place with 4-7 record. Mitsubishi K. at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. Aranmare A. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mitsubishi K. will play again at home against Aranmare A. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
