Regular Season Round 23: Xinjiang FT - Qingdao E. 108-99

Everything could happen in Urumqi at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Flying Tigers and 12th ranked Eagles had identical 10-10 record. This time Flying Tigers used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Qingdao 108-99 on Sunday night. Flying Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Chris Clemons (175-1997, college: Campbell) who scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. The former international Abudurexiti Abudushalamu (203-1996) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Five Flying Tigers players scored in double figures. American point guard Eugene German (183-1997, college: NIU) produced 43 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and Ruize Wang (197-1995) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Flying Tigers have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Jilin NE T. and Nanjing TX MK. Eagles lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Flying Tigers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Eagles will play against Jiangsu Dragons (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
