Regular Season Round 11: Niigata R. - Chanson V-M 56-65

Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Niigata R. (2-8) lost to seventh ranked Chanson V-M (7-5) in Tokyo 56-65 on Saturday. Chanson V-M made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Chanson V-M outrebounded Niigata R. 42-26 including a 26-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Yuki Kitamura (173-1994) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Center Miwa Kuribayashi (188-1998) accounted for 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Forward Nishitarumizu Misakura (170-1998) came up with 10 points and 9 rebounds and guard Mayu Yomoto (162-1998) added 13 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for Niigata R. in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Niigata R.'s coach Atsushi Ito tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Chanson V-M moved-up to fifth place. Loser Niigata R. keeps the twelfth position with eight games lost. They share it with Yamanashi QB. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
