Regular Season Round 22: Jiangsu D. - Ningbo R. 89-74

Bottom-ranked Rockets (0-20) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 89-74 loss to thirteenth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (10-9) in Nanjing on Friday evening. They made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. American guard Antonio Blakeney (193-1996, college: LSU) scored 41 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import center Devin Williams (206-1994, college: WVU) chipped in 11 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Brandon Taylor (178-1994, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 18 points and 6 steals and power forward Yuanyu Li (206-1991) scored 5 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Jiangsu Dragons moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Shanxi L. Newly promoted Rockets still closes the standings. Jiangsu Dragons will meet at home Guangsha Lions (#14) in the next round. Rockets will play against Loongs (#10) and hope to get finally their first victory.
