Regular Season Round 25: Nagoya DD - Hitachi SRT 88-86

Third-ranked Hitachi SRT (11-12) was very close to win a game against fourth ranked Nagoya DD (18-7). Nagoya DD managed to secure only two-point victory 88-86. However their fans expected easier game. Nagoya DD players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. American players dominated the game. Forward Coty Clarke (201-1992, college: Arkansas) stepped up and scored 24 points for the winners and power forward Scott Eatherton (206-1991, college: Northeastern, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 11 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side forward James McAdoo (206-1993, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and forward Kevin Jones (206-1989, college: WVU) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Five Nagoya DD and four Hitachi SRT players scored in double figures. Hitachi SRT's coach Tsutomu Isa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nagoya DD maintains fourth place with 18-7 record. Hitachi SRT at the other side keeps the third position with 12 games lost. Nagoya DD will again play against higher ranked Hitachi SRT (#3) in Tokyo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hitachi SRT will have a break next round.
