Rather expected game when 3rd ranked Gunma CT (13-9) was rolled over at home by first ranked Chiba Jets (20-4) 108-80 on Wednesday. Chiba Jets made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Christopher Smith (193-1994, college: Utah St.) who helped to win the game recording 40 points (!!!) and 4 assists and the other American import forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) who added 18 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Trey McKinney-Jones (198-1990, college: Miami, FL) with 18 points and naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-1981, college: Evergreen St.) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba Jets have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-4 record. Loser Gunma CT keeps the third place with nine games lost. Chiba Jets will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gunma CT will play against the league's second-placed Yokohama BC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
