The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Hiroshima D. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Hiroshima D. defeated 5th ranked FE Nagoya at home 82-77. Hiroshima D. made 26-of-34 charity shots (76.5 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Hiroshima D. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. FE Nagoya was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Dwayne Evans (201-1992, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import forward Nick Mayo (206-1997, college: EKU, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Hiroshima D.'s coach Kyle Milling allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American power forward Johnathan Williams III (206-1995, college: Gonzaga) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and international Luke Evans (203-1991, college: CBU) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for FE Nagoya. Hiroshima D. have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Alvark Tokyo and Ryukyu GK. Newly promoted FE Nagoya keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost. FE Nagoya will play next round against Hokkaido L. trying to get back on the winning streak. Hiroshima D. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
