Regular Season Round 23: Chiba Jets - Kawasaki BT 86-71

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of Kawasaki BT (14-9) on the court of first ranked Chiba Jets on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Chiba Jets 86-71. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Christopher Smith (193-1994, college: Utah St.) helped adding 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-1985, college: Nevada) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists and American power forward Michael Young (206-1994, college: Pittsburgh) scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Four Kawasaki BT players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chiba Jets (19-4) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place which they share with defeated Kawasaki BT. Kawasaki BT at the other side still keeps top position with nine games lost. Chiba Jets is looking forward to face Gunma CT (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kawasaki BT will play against Shinshu BW and is hoping to win this game.
