An exciting game was when Third ranked Pilots faced 4th placed Lioneers. Pilots (7-3) smashed Lioneers (4-6) 103-60. Pilots dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Lioneers' 32. Pilots forced 25 Lioneers turnovers and outrebounded them 54-36 including a 38-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Lioneers' players. Lioneers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Bulgarian center Jason Washburn (213-1990, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds. American forward Jeff Ayres (206-1987, college: Arizona St., agency: Slash Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Will Artino (211-1992, college: Creighton) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Terrico White (196-1990, college: Ole Miss) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Lioneers. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pilots have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Lioneers lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Pilots will play against Fubon Braves (#3) in Taipei in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Lioneers will play on the road against Steelers in Kaohsiung and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
