Regular Season Round 22: San-en NP - Gunma CT 70-77

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Gunma CT (13-7) defeated 5th ranked San-en NP (9-13) in Hamamatsu 77-70 on Saturday. Gunma CT looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-1981, college: Evergreen St.) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and American center Kaleb Tarczewski (212-1993, college: Arizona) supported him with 12 points and 17 rebounds. Even a double-double of 22 points and 19 rebounds by American center Kyle O'Quinn (206-1990, college: Norfolk St., agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for San-en NP. His fellow American import center Isaiah Hicks (206-1994, college: UNC) added 6 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gunma CT maintains third position with 13-7 record behind leader Ryukyu GK. Loser San-en NP dropped to the sixth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Osaka E.. Gunma CT will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. San-en NP will play again against Gunma CT (#3) and hope to secure a win.
