This time Tokyo HT used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Aichi 63-59 on Saturday night. American forward Robert Sampson (203-1992, college: Georgia Tech) had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward John Fields (205-1988, college: Tennessee, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 6 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Sampson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Tokyo HT's coach Keisuke Hirose used entire bench in such tough game. At the losing side Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-1991, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and American center Joe Wolfinger (214-1985, college: Citadel) scored 7 points and 9 rebounds. Tokyo HT (9-15) moved-up to ninth place. Loser Toyoda dropped to the twelfth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Shanan Utd. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
