We should mention about the upset which took place in Jinan, where higher ranked Heroes (10-7) lost at home to twelfth ranked Jiangsu Dragons (9-7) 90-94 on Friday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Heroes. Jiangsu Dragons made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Antonio Blakeney (193-1996, college: LSU) who had a double-double by scoring 54 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. Center Quanxi Wu (211-1994) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Troy Gillenwater (205-1988, college: NM State) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and the former international point guard Shiyan Gao (186-1996) added 22 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals respectively. Four Heroes players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Jiangsu Dragons moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Shanxi L. Heroes at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Nanjing TX MK. Jiangsu Dragons is looking forward to face Loongs (#9) in Taiyuan in the next round. Heroes will have a break next round.
