The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kings as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kings defeated 6th ranked Steelers in Taipei 100-89. Kings dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Steelers' 36. Kings forced 21 Steelers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kings made 10 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American-British center Byron Mullens (213-1989, college: Ohio St., agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and American Austin Daye (209-1988, college: Gonzaga, agency: Slash Sports) who added 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. The best for the losing side was American Aaron Harrison (198-1994, college: Kentucky, agency: Slash Sports) with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international power forward Po-Chih Wang (195-1996) scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Kings and four Steelers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Steelers lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. Steelers will play next round against Dreamers trying to get back on the winning streak. Kings will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Fubon Braves. It will be extra interesting game as Fubon Braves is their local rival from Taipei.
