Very predictable result when first ranked Chiba Jets (16-4) defeated at home 8th ranked Ibaraki R. (5-15) 83-70 on Saturday. They outrebounded Ibaraki R. 43-26 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward John Mooney (206-1998, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-1993) chipped in 19 points and 7 assists. American Eric Jacobsen (208-1994, college: Arizona St.) produced 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import forward Chehales Tapscott (195-1990, college: Portland St.) added 5 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the guests.
