Regular Season Round 20: Shimane SM - Nagoya DD 79-85

The most interesting game of round 20 in the B1 League was a home defeat of 4th ranked Shimane SM (14-6) to third ranked Nagoya DD (15-5) 85-79. It ended the two-game winning streak of Shimane SM. Strangely Shimane SM outrebounded Nagoya DD 32-20. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese Maurice Ndour (206-1992, college: Ohio) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and American forward Coty Clarke (201-1992, college: Arkansas) who added 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists and Australian Nick Kay (206-1992, college: MSU Denver) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Shimane SM players scored in double figures. Nagoya DD moved-up to second place, which they share with Alvark Tokyo. Shimane SM at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Nagoya DD will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shimane SM will play again at home against Nagoya DD (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
