Very expected game when 15th ranked Yamaguchi (6-16) lost on the road to seventh ranked Tokyo Utd (13-9) 78-61 on Friday. The winners were led by American swingman Michael Craig (196-1991, college: Southern Miss) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists and the other American import Marcus Dove (206-1985, college: OK State) supported him with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Tokyo Utd's coach Masaki Hayamizu used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 21 points and 16 rebounds by Jamaican-British center Ryan Richards (212-1991) did not help to save the game for Yamaguchi. American power forward Michael Phillips (202-1990, college: Howard) added 19 points and 12 rebounds for the guests. Tokyo Utd have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Tokyo Utd maintains seventh position with 13-9 record. Yamaguchi lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 16 games lost.
