There was no surprise when 6th ranked Osaka E. (8-11) lost on the road to fourth ranked Shimane SM (14-5) 72-65 on Wednesday. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Seiya Ando (184-1992) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 7 assists. American forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) accounted for 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. American power forward Sean OMara (208-1995, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard DJ Newbill (193-1992, college: Penn St.) added 19 points respectively for Osaka E. in the defeat. Four Osaka E. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Shimane SM moved-up to second place, which they share with Nagoya DD and Alvark Tokyo. Loser Osaka E. dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Shimane SM will meet at home Nagoya DD (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Osaka E. will play against FE Nagoya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
