There was no surprise when 7th ranked Toyama G. (4-14) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Tochigi Brex (10-8) 82-76 on Sunday. Tochigi Brex had a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American power forward Josh Scott (208-1993, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Seiji Ikaruga (185-1994) chipped in 12 points and 10 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Brice Johnson (206-1994, college: UNC) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Cody Demps (193-1993, college: Sacramento St.) scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Toyama G. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Shiga L-Stars. Tochigi Brex will meet at home Akita NH (#5) in the next round. Toyama G. will play against the league's leader Kawasaki BT and hope to secure a win.
