Regular Season Round 14: Barsy 2 - Almaty L. 91-83

The most important game in the last round took place in Atyrau between second ranked Almaty L. (13-4) and seventh ranked Barsy 2 (7-10) on Sunday night. Almaty L. was defeated by Barsy 2 in a tough game on the road 83-91. Barsy 2 forced 22 Almaty L. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Sabyrzhan Ibragimov (185-2004) who scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Yernar Zheksenbayev (187-2001) chipped in 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Point guard Daniil Severgin (183-2005) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and center Daniel Albrant (205-1998) added 17 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Almaty L. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Barsy 2 moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Gotobeles. Newly promoted Almaty L. keeps the second position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
