Rather expected game when 5th ranked Akita NH (7-11) was defeated at home by second ranked Kawasaki BT (11-7) 89-80 on Sunday. Kawasaki BT looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-1985, college: Nevada) scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Jordan Heath (208-1991, college: Canisius, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Kawasaki BT players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Steve Zack (211-1992, college: La Salle) with a triple-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists and his fellow American import Stanton Kidd (202-1992, college: Colorado St.) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Akita NH's coach Kenzo Maeda tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Kawasaki BT keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Gunma CT. Akita NH lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Sea Horses M. and Kyoto H.. Kawasaki BT will meet Toyama G.
