Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Tochigi Brex (9-8) defeated on the road 7th ranked Toyama G. (4-13) 77-66 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American power forward Josh Scott (208-1993, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. The former international swingman Makoto Hiejima (190-1990) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. American forward Brice Johnson (206-1994, college: UNC) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Cody Demps (193-1993, college: Sacramento St.) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with FE Nagoya and Yokohama BC. Toyama G. lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Shiga L-Stars. Tochigi Brex will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toyama G. will play again against Tochigi Brex (#4) and hope to secure a win.
