Regular Season Round 7: Fujitsu RW - Hitachi Cougars 72-68

Leader Fujitsu RW delivered the sixth victory. This time they beat 8th ranked Hitachi Cougars (2-5) 72-68 in Kawasaki. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Fujimoto Aki (182-1998) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds. International point guard Rui Machida (162-1993) contributed with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Four Fujitsu RW players scored in double figures. Senegalese center Daramee Malem-Doi (187-1997) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Nanami Sato (175-1996) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Hitachi Cougars. Fujitsu RW maintains first place with 6-1 record, which they share with Toyota A. and Mitsubishi K. Hitachi Cougars at the other side keep the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Fujitsu RW will again play against Hitachi Cougars (#11) in Hitachinaka in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hitachi Cougars will have a break next round.
