Regular Season Round 11: Xinjiang FT - Jilin NE T. 91-112

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Flying Tigers (5-6) were outleveled by sixth ranked Jilin Tigers (7-4) in Urumqi 112-91 on Saturday. Jilin Tigers forced 21 Flying Tigers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Dominique Jones (193-1988, college: S.Florida) who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 18 rebounds, 10 assists and 9 steals. The former international point guard Weize Jiang (182-2000) accounted for 27 points and 8 assists for the winning side. The former international Abudurexiti Abudushalamu (203-1996) came up with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American point guard Chris Clemons (175-1997, college: Campbell) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Flying Tigers in the defeat. Flying Tigers' coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Jilin Tigers moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Shandong H. and Jiangsu D. Loser Flying Tigers keep the twelfth position with six games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Jilin Tigers will meet at home Sturgeons (#19) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Flying Tigers will play against Guangsha Lions (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
