The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Hokkaido L.'s (5-12) road loss to sixth ranked Shinshu BW (7-10) 55-69 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shinshu BW made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-1995, college: WSU) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. His fellow American import Anthony McHenry (202-1983, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Australian forward Brock Motum (208-1990, college: WSU) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Shuto Terazono (165-1994) added 12 points respectively for the guests. Hokkaido L.'s coach Kenichi Sako rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shinshu BW moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams.
