Regular Season Round 17: Shimane SM - Chiba Jets 87-96

Everything went according to plan when first ranked Chiba Jets (14-3) beat on the road 4th placed Shimane SM (12-5) 96-87 on Saturday. Chiba Jets made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-1993) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. American forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) produced 28 points and 9 rebounds and Australian Nick Kay (206-1992, college: MSU Denver) added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Chiba Jets and five Shimane SM players scored in double figures. Chiba Jets have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-3 record. Loser Shimane SM dropped to the second position with five games lost. They share it with Alvark Tokyo. Chiba Jets will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shimane SM will play again against the league's leader Chiba Jets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
