Regular Season Round 11: Jiangsu D. - Nanjing TX MK 132-107

Everything could happen in Nanjing at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Jiangsu Dragons and 8th ranked Monkey Kings had identical 6-4 record. This time Jiangsu Dragons used a home court advantage and outscored the opponent from Jiangsu 132-107 on Friday night. Jiangsu Dragons shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Antonio Blakeney (193-1996, college: LSU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 50 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Center Quanxi Wu (211-1994) accounted for 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. American point guard QJ Peterson (183-1994, college: VMI) came up with 30 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and South Sudanese-Australian center Jo Lual-Acuil Jr (213-1994, college: Baylor) added 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for Monkey Kings in the defeat. Five Jiangsu Dragons and four Monkey Kings players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jiangsu Dragons maintains fifth place with 7-4 record, which they share with Shandong H. and Jilin NE T. Loser Monkey Kings dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Jiangsu Dragons will meet at home Eagles (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Monkey Kings will play against the league's second-placed Flying Leopards and hope to secure a win.
