Regular Season Round 7: Penang SY - Johor Tigers 70-100

An interesting game for Johor Tigers (9-1) which played road game in Penang against 4th placed Penang SY (4-7). First ranked Johor Tigers had an easy win 100-70. Johor Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Penang SY's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tevin Glass (206-1994, college: ETSU, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international forward Liang Chuan Yek (188-1997) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Johor Tigers players scored in double figures. Australian Jean-Luc Morel answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and Chien-Chong Lee added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Penang SY. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Johor Tigers have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-1 record. Penang SY at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with KL Aseel. Johor Tigers are looking forward to face KL Aseel (#4) in Kuala Lumpur in the next round. Penang SY will play on the road against Adroit in Singapore and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
