Regular Season Round 16: Kumamoto V. - Kagawa FA 85-90

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Kumamoto V. (11-7) against sixth ranked Kagawa FA (7-11) on Saturday night. Host Kumamoto V. was defeated by Kagawa FA in a tough game in Kumamoto 85-90. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kumamoto V.. Kagawa FA dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Kumamoto V.'s 32. They outrebounded Kumamoto V. 37-25 including a 27-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of British forward Myles Hesson (198-1990, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 8 assists. Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-1996) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Kagawa FA players scored in double figures. American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-1987, college: Georgia) replied with 31 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and his fellow American import forward Kevin Kotzur (203-1989, college: St.Mary's, TX, agency: Green Sports Management) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Kumamoto V.Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Kagawa FA maintains sixth position with 7-11 record. Kumamoto V. at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. Kagawa FA will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kumamoto V. will play again at home against Kagawa FA and hopes to get back on the winning track.
