The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Tokyo Utd's (10-7) road loss to sixth ranked Saitama (12-5) 70-85 on Saturday. Saitama looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of Grant Sitton (206-1993, college: Victoria) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Ryan Watkins (206-1991, college: Boise St., agency: Slash Sports) who added 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Saitama players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Michael Craig (196-1991, college: Southern Miss) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Marcus Dove (206-1985, college: OK State) scored 13 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Saitama have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 12-5 record. Newly promoted Tokyo Utd keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. Saitama will again meet at home Tokyo Utd (#7) in the next round. Tokyo Utd will have a break next round.
