Regular Season Round 14: FE Nagoya - Shimane SM 77-87

There was no surprise when 5th ranked FE Nagoya (8-6) was defeated at home by third ranked Shimane SM (11-3) 87-77 on Wednesday. Shimane SM looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) who had a triple-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. Australian Nick Kay (206-1992, college: MSU Denver) chipped in 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Shimane SM's coach Paul Henare used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. International Luke Evans (203-1991, college: CBU) produced 13 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Johnathan Williams III (206-1995, college: Gonzaga) added 16 points respectively for the hosts. Four Shimane SM and five FE Nagoya players scored in double figures. Shimane SM keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted FE Nagoya dropped to the second place with six games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
