The biggest surprise took place when Aquas (3-1) crushed league's leader N.Taipei CTBC (3-3) 105-81 on Saturday evening. Aquas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Filipino guard Jason Brickman (183-1991, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Interperformances) who scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-1991, agency: BIG) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks. At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian Edgaras Zelionis (207-1989) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Croatian center Kristijan Krajina (208-1990, college: Mt.St.Mary's, agency: 011 Sports) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Five Aquas and four N.Taipei CTBC players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aquas have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. N.Taipei CTBC at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Kaohsiung A.. N.Taipei CTBC will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Aquas will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked TB Herobears at home.
