Top ranked San-en NP (8-4) recorded its fourth loss in Hamamatsu on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked FE Nagoya (7-5) 87-73. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of San-en NP. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The best player for the winners was American forward Andrew Randall (198-1990, college: Temple) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import forward Jeremy Jones (201-1996, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 18 points and 6 assists. Four FE Nagoya players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Isaiah Hicks (206-1994, college: UNC) who recorded 23 points and 8 rebounds and Filipino guard Ferdinand Ravena (189-1996) added 16 points and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. FE Nagoya moved-up to second place, which they share with Kawasaki BT and Hitachi SRT. San-en NP at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Alvark Tokyo. FE Nagoya will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. San-en NP will play again at home against FE Nagoya and is hoping to win this game.
