Regular Season Round 4: Johor Tigers - NS Matrix 83-60

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Johor Tigers as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Johor Tigers smashed their biggest opponent NS Matrix in Johor Baharu 83-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of NS Matrix. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Johor Tigers forced 31 NS Matrix turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tevin Glass (206-1994, college: ETSU, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. International point guard Yee-Tong Heng (178-1998) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Johor Tigers players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Chun-Hong Ting (193-1996) replied with 21 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Lok-Seng Mak (194-1994) added 4 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for NS Matrix. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. NS Matrix at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. NS Matrix will play next round against strong Penang SY trying to get back on the winning streak. Johor Tigers will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Pegasus in Bandar Seri Begawan.
