No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Shanan Utd (6-10) beat on the road 10th ranked Tokyo HT (7-9) 99-86 on Friday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shanan Utd made 7 blocks. American forward Chris Olivier (202-1992, college: OK State, agency: Octagon Europe) notched 38 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import forward Steven Green (196-1993, college: OKBU) supported him with 30 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Shanan Utd's coach Takeshi Hotta used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Even a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds by American forward Robert Sampson (203-1992, college: Georgia Tech) did not help to save the game for Tokyo HT. Kodai Takahashi (180-1991) added 22 points and 5 assists for the hosts. Four Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Shanan Utd went down to ninth position due to points difference, which they share with Kanazawa. Tokyo HT lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
