Regular Season Round 3: KL Aseel - Pegasus 54-84

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of KL Aseel (2-1) in Kuala Lumpur. Hosts were rolled over by Pegasus (2-1) 84-54. Pegasus dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to KL Aseel's 30. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for Thailand center Wutipong Dasom (195-1991) who led his team to a victory with 32 points and 5 rebounds. American center Ryan Smith (213-1995, college: Tulane) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international guard Wei-Long Tan (188-1993) answered with 7 points and 7 rebounds and center Jing-Hung Lee (190-2001) added 4 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for KL Aseel. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pegasus will play against NS Matrix in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KL Aseel will play against Johor Tigers in Johor Baharu and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
