Regular Season Round 12: Shizuoka - Tokyo Utd 74-65

B3 League top team - Shizuoka (12-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Tokyo Utd (8-5) 74-65. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Tokyo Utd. Worth to mention a quality performance of American center Kenny Lawson (207-1988, college: Creighton) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Bahamas forward Tavario Miller (203-1994, college: Texas A&M) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Miller is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Shizuoka players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Michael Craig (196-1991, college: Southern Miss) with 12 points and 5 rebounds and guard Mamadou Fofana (185-1998) scored 11 points. Tokyo Utd's coach Masaki Hayamizu rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shizuoka have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-1 record. Newly promoted Tokyo Utd dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. Shizuoka are again looking forward to face Tokyo Utd (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Tokyo Utd will have a break next round.
