Regular Season Round 10: Hokkaido L. - Kyoto H. 75-80

The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Kyoto H.'s (5-5) road victory over 7th ranked Hokkaido L. (3-7) in Saporro 80-75 on Saturday. American forward Jarrod Uthoff (203-1993, college: Iowa) notched a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Yoshiaki Kubota (175-1997) supported him with 21 points and 6 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Even 27 points and 7 rebounds by American forward Shawn Long (208-1993, college: Louisiana, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Hokkaido L.. Australian forward Brock Motum (208-1990, college: WSU) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Four Hokkaido L. players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Kyoto H. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with FE Nagoya and Shinshu BW. Loser Hokkaido L. dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Kyoto H. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hokkaido L. will play again against Kyoto H. (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
