Regular Season Round 1: Steelers - Fubon Braves 114-117

Important game to mention about was the one when Fubon Braves saved a 3-point victory edging Steelers 117-114 on Sunday evening. Fubon Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Steelers' 42. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Michael Singletary (198-1988, college: Texas Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import power forward Chris Johnson (210-1985, college: LSU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Jamaican-American power forward Femi Olujobi (206-1996, college: DePaul, agency: Slash Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and American Manny Harris (197-1989, college: Michigan) added 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Steelers. Four Fubon Braves and five Steelers players scored in double figures. Fubon Braves will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Steelers will play at home against Dreamers to get more than just one victory in their record.
