Regular Season Round 8: Koshigaya A. - Fukushima 73-62

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Koshigaya A. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Koshigaya A. defeated 5th ranked Fukushima in Tokyo 73-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fukushima. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Shun Matsuyama (175-1996) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Hayate Komasawa (188-1998) who added 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. Guard Tomonobu Hasegawa (184-1990) responded with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-1990, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Fukushima at the other side dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. Fukushima will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Koshigaya A. will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Fukushima at home.
