Regular Season Round 5: Aranmare A. - Eneos S. 35-63

Everything could happen in Akita at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Eneos S. and 9th ranked Aranmare A. had identical 1-3 record. But Aranmare A. was not able to use a home court advantage and was smashed by the opponent from Kashiwa 63-35 on Saturday night. The former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-1991) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and the former international Saori Miyazaki (167-1995) accounted for 11 points. Guard Asuka Hiramatsu (162-1994) came up with 7 points and forward Hitomi Kawase (174-1993) added 2 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Aranmare A. in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Eneos S. (2-3) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Hitachi Cougars. Aranmare A. lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Eneos S. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aranmare A. will play again against Eneos S. (#7) and hope to win that game.
